Entertaining...

Woo hoo!! Two posts in a row...will try to include more videos. We've caught a few good ones :o)

A skill that Katie is learning really fast these days is how to entertain herself. Part of that might be our fault. On more than one occasion, hubby and I have found ourselves in front of our laptops at the same time and not remember how we got there. Then, all of a sudden, we realize there’s something moving in the corner behind the couch nibbling on wires…haha… In our defense, this isn’t entirely our fault. Since Katie started walking these past couple of weeks, she has grown increasingly independent so it has been very challenging to keep her put for anything…eating, playing, reading, dancing, sitting in a shopping cart…you name it. So, it is not that we don’t want to play with her; she doesn’t want to play with us. I guess we’re boring parents…hehe…

Katie knows every inch of her home and would rather roam around in it. She likes flipping through books, talking to the images, kissing stuff animals, pushing buttons and simply making her toys sing and dance. Or, she’ll move on and dig through my purse, her toy box, the entertainment center, cabinets she can get to or she’ll carry objects to other parts of the house. Yes, she keeps herself (and us) quite busy! Yogi was gathering all the library books the other night and was missing one. We actually asked Katie where she hid it. She responded with a very puzzled look, almost with her palms up to say, ‘I don’t know’. No joke, she is entirely capable of doing so. We ended up finding it in the car so not her fault…this time. Yup, we’re keeping a close eye on our wallets even in our own home…lol…
