Hi Titus!

Another pregnant mommy popped open...hehe...

Meet Titus Liu born on January 31, 2008 at 7 pounds 11 ounces.

Mommy finally posted pixs of our first meet and greet with Titus! We'll definitely see this cutie again very soon!

It's all about US!

We're at 15 weeks! Woo hoo! What does that mean? Well, here's the BabyCenter.com definition...

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

Physically, I am feeling a lot better. The nausa has subsided to some degree and will occassionally resurface if foods are too greasy. In exchange, I felt my first heartburn on Friday afternoon to where I was unable to finish my lunch so I got my hands on a Jamba Juice instead to cool things off. Boy did it help! Good thing about working downtown is I'm walking distance from all sorts of eats and drinks :o) Heaven for a pregnant lady, I tell ya!

I did my first full hour workout on Saturday morning and I felt great afterwards. A little sore the next day but I'm ready to go again tonight. A big change from a few weeks ago where any extra movement means an extra day of sleep to re-coup.

Our next doctor's visit is coming up next week on our 4-month mark so can't wait to hear more good news about the baby's developments.

Last Weekend Pixs

We spent Saturday with my sister-in-law, Jaynie and her fiance, Dave as they shop for an October wedding venue. Our first stop was a secluded mansion down along hwy 160 towards the delta, The Grand Island Mansion.

Front view

Dining room seats 100

Another dining room seats 75

Front lawn area where ceremony can be held

Our search continued on Sunday as we toured Arden Hills Country Club, Viscaya, and the Sterling Hotel. For a brief second, Yogi and I thought maybe we'll renew our vows sooner than planned ;oD Then again, maybe not!!...haha...and that's how long the thought lasted.

As far as our bride-to-be is concerned, she's leaning towards the beautiful all inclusive mansion where she can have it all to herself on her wedding day. After all it's all about the HER!

Saturday night we attended a dinner in Rocklin to celebrate our February bday friends, Vikki and Jared. They happened to be married to eachother with two beautiful kids Taylor and Lilah.

Quite obvious where my attention was.

Can't blame me, she's too cute!!

Lunch with Ex-coworkers

You guys can thank my ex-lead (from Health Net) and now close friend, Verna for the above pixs we took this past weekend; otherwise, who knows when you'd get to see an updated bump :o) Obviously the first picture is modeling the baby and not me. It's getting less and less of me and more and more of the baby, a good thing in deed! The middle pix is of me and Verna, a ridiculously nice woman with a good spirit. And the pix on the far right is of another ex-worker and friend, Lovelehn with her son Lorenzo. Love and I do a good job at keeping each other entertained at work and still do :o) Luv ya gals and I’ll see you guys next month!

Name

If you’ve recently asked me the question, you’d know I already have a girl name picked out, Katelin (Katie). I’ve always liked the name Katie and coincidentally, the person who introduced Yogi and me in college, her name was also Katie. We were never close friends with the girl and after the semester ended, she moved to the bay area and we haven’t seen her since. It's been 10 years. Who knows when and where we may bump into her again. Or when our Katie could meet the famous Katie and say my mommy named me after you, NOT! :o)

Now just because we have a girl name and no boy name, we can bank on this baby being a boy...haha... We'll take so long to decide, our son would end up in the delivery room with the name tag “Le Baby” or “Le Babe”. Well, we’re not the only parents without a boy name. At the least, we still have a chance at a girl but our friend, Rachel and brother, Derek are having sons for sure and are still exploring. So, if you have any good suggestions, send them our way and PLEASE spare us the Michaels, Johns, and Jaydens!

Weekend Updates

Another week down and 27 left to go till we meet this little monster face to face…hehe… First things first, we still have to find out the gender and feel it move. Ah, the little pleasures of being pregnant I don’t plan to miss but do wish the morning sickness would go away like now!

Over the weekend, I tested my gambling luck with Yogi’s sisters who got together for new years. People say, pregnant mommies have all the luck. Not that I was trying to test the theory but hey why not since the family’s together. Sure enough, I won a few extra diapers for our little one. Maybe, I should get together with the other 7 pregnant mommies and buy lottery! We’ll never run out of diapers…if we win :o)

We also found out over the weekend that Yogi’s brother, Derek and wifey is having a BOY!! Congratulations to them and we look forward to meeting our nephew. We didn’t get red envelopes from Derek and Fil but they were thinking of us while shopping for baby clothes and got us our first set of baby onesies. Very cute, thank you!

For some of us, the weekend continued into Tuesday, Lincoln's bday. I took advantage of the day off to visit Titus (almost 2 weeks old) and mommy. The little guy is as lay back as can be sleeping throughout the day, sucking every last drop out of his bottle and never failing to let mommy know his diaper is wet. During my visit, I got a shot at feeding the little guy. Although, it has been years since I last fed a child a bottle, Titus made me look pro and didn’t miss a drop.

And finally, a quick CONGRATULATIONS to another 2008 mommy in London due August 30! We love ya! Take care and keep us posted!

Happy Lunar New Year!!

Last night, we had traditional New Years Eve dinners! The first round was at my mother-in-law’s house. Yogi made himself useful while his nephew, Damon fried egg rolls and made a mess on the floor. And the second round was at my parent's house where the shark fin soup is always the best :o)

It’s the year of the Rat and here are some interesting characteristics of our little mouse to-be.
We’ll take a Rat to go please ;o)

First Physical

Prior to dinner last night, we went for a screening on the baby and somewhat its first physical. Technician maneuvered the sensor around my bump to find the essential parts of a little human being - the brain, stomach, kidney, bladder, four active limbs and its little extensions. How the technician can tell, we have no idea. But the good news is, it’s developing normally and looks to be a very healthy baby thus far.
Pixs aren't as clear as the first set we took a couple weeks ago but you can essentially see the round image of the head and the body. Any chance we get to see the baby is good enough for us!

Check out the future NFL Hall of Fame arm...haha...or LGPA Master's winning swing.

And finally, here's a sneak peek at the bump you guys have been waiting for. This was taken about a week and a half ago. I looks a lot more obvious in person! I'll try for a more current bump this weekend, maybe with the cousin bump next to it :o)

The 'Bumpy' Weekend

I have been meaning to load a picture of my ‘bump’ but the smaller laptop has been MIA (missing in action) for a couple days; will track it down tonight somewhere somehow. In the meantime, the ‘bump’ is slowly making its presence known and is doing well; maybe I just need to get rid of my tight fitting shirts :o/ The good news is I’m slowly regaining my energy. I stayed up till 10:30 last night to watch an interview of Andy Hui and to hear the juice on his relationship with Sammi. Interesting how his feelings have NOT changed for the crazy woman…hmmm…

Anyhow, weekend was great! I got my share of L&L on Friday night…yummy…yummy. Afterwards, we meet up with Amie at Tapioca Express and visited with the owners (friends of ours and Yogi uses to work with one). Yogi took his ex-coworker’s hand and moved it towards my belly and she immediately dropped her jaws. Pretty funny that she obviously got the point and not so funny that she noticed I gained a bump :oP

On Saturday watched 27 Dresses with Jamie, such a chick-flick…haha… And Sunday, ended nicely with one of the better Super Bowl games ever. The extraordinary play at the end rounded our troops up for the touchdown dance and high-fives all around our kitchen table. Not that we hated NE but it was nice to see the underdogs work hard and prevail. There are obviously no guarantees in this world no matter how good you are. Poor Jordan (nearly 12 months) was startled each and every time the aunties and uncles got excited. Cheer up buddy, Chinese New Year starts Wednesday night!

So, entering my 12 week with this bump and getting excited over what I may feel next. At the least, hoping the nausea will go away soon for good! I have an appointment Wednesday afternoon for a special ultrasound screening so stay tuned for more pixs :o) Have a great week everyone and happy lunar new year! This time next year, we finally have money coming in verses just going out...haha...
