So after 5 days off, we're right back where we started from...home and work...and the heartburn! All I had this morning was yogurt and it's not taken lightly :o(
Besides that, the cooler weather this past week as made a world of difference for being 7 months pregnant and in the 3rd trimester. The rash is hopefully long gone, the swellings in my feet and hands has gone down quite a bit and I have a phone appointment with a dietitian tomorrow to discuss a revised diet to help with my sugar high ;o) I technically don't have gestational diabetes but doctors recommend a better diet to steer far from it especially in the coming months and since it's very common on my mom's side of the family.
We'll be attending our first 'Childbirth Prep' (previously known as Lamaze) tomorrow night. We opted for a six week class on Thursday nights for a couple of hours verses being overwhelmed with it all on one Saturday. Yes, we’re bracing ourselves for ‘the video’…haha… Hopefully Yogi doesn’t faint on me otherwise I will have more than one babe to care for. Nonetheless, we’re looking forward to it and excited to put what we will be learning in good use!

As far as this little girlie is concerned, she’s doing well (as far as I can feel). We had an early dinner on Monday night around 5ish and my plans to sleep early (9ish) failed once I got onto the computer. I didn’t actually hit the sake till 11pm. By that time, she was really fussy kicking and squirming every which way no matter which way I slept. So, for the second time in this whole pregnancy, I had to wake up and make myself a snack in the middle of the night. If you’re thinking, why didn’t I wake Yogi up to get it for me; well, I figured by the time I wake him up, I’ve already gotten what I wanted done and over with. He’ll get his chances thou ;oP, just not one of my lazy nights I suppose.

Btw, the vacationing helped paved the way to finally deciding her name in English and in Chinese. If you’re attending our baby shower, you’ll find out then. But if you’re not, you’ll definitely find out afterwards or send me an email and we’ll chat :o)

Katana-Ya on Geary
Sunday was dedicated to prepping and hosting my brother-in-law and his wife’s baby shower for their son, Tyrus. We all had a great time and the new parents did too - being able to enjoy some time with family, friends and co-workers.
