Sugar High

Katie had her first sugar high last night and darn it, no camera handy. I know, I should never leave home without a camera especially these days! We'll just use these nice pixs our sister-in-law, Fil took over the past couple of weeks.

We went out for sushi with my family last night taking advantage of my Dad’s Red Hawk winnings. Afterwards we stopped by a local yogurt joint for a cup of dessert. My Dad and sister love to get their yogurt fix at least once a week during the Summer time and they’re starting early! They tipped us into making the perfect yogurt treat in the following order: yogurt, fruit then candies so the candies don’t get hard and it works! Ultimately, everyone including Katie got dibs of the after dinner treat. No she didn’t get her own cup but did get minor sips and bites of the fruits.

Who would have thought that got her going till about 8:30pm last night instead her usual bedtime at 7pm. She laughed, jumped and squealed at EVERY person who approached her thinking they were chasing after her. And sometimes, all you had to do was open your mouth wide and laugh, she’ll laugh right along with you sitting across the room. She also started to get into the habit of clapping her hands together when she’s sit upright. My parents love it b/c to them it’s a sign the baby is happy :o) No more yogurt before bedtime for you young lady!

By the way, the night before last, Katie woke up at 4am. After she was fed and changed, she decided to stay up and play for the next hour before going back to sleep. It’s bad that I had to stay up with her and not get my sleep but all worth it to see her demonstrate her new trick from being on her tummy to sitting upright! Woo hoo!
