Le Babe: 2 Milestones in 1 Week

What a productive week for Katie! She got her first tooth last Tuesday and by Friday, she was moving on all 4s’ or 5s’ (tummy included)!! It’s so much fun watching Katie grow and hitting these exciting milestones. Once her teeth came through, she has not stopped saying ‘da..da..da..da’. It’s the cuties thing ever.

On Friday, Yogi used her mosted prized toy as of late, the laptop to get her moving finally. Turns out, she has tremendous arm strength to stretch forward, grab a hold of the carpet and pull her entire body forward. Her legs will pull in helping to support the lung forward. Not quite a true crawl yet but mobile and dangerous no less. One day at a time, she’s been fine tuning those moves and speeding it up. From the living room, she’s able to follow me into the hallway to the laundry room and from our bedroom, she’ll slitter into our master bathroom. Yukky, I know! The gates are going to have to come in sooner than we thought! Another cute trick she does is giving high 5s! Have to ask for it to believe it :o) Videos of some of the tricks are on Facebook!

Her passport is in process and we’re excited to start planning her first international trip to Canada in late July…woo hoo!! We spent the weekend in San Francisco in perfect Spring weather! We did a hike in Muir Woods on Saturday then hiked around downtown San Francisco on Sunday. Back in Sacramento, my sister-in-law and I took our kiddos to the zoo yesterday. Not quite sure how entertained they were by the animals but they’ll definitely get to see them again down the road :o)
